We are back at Grand Prix of Art this year: July 27th 1-3 pm with Kathryn, Albert and Tony Lee on drum kit + special guest Calla Pickett.
There are 35 painters creating their art along the pier of Steveston Village and you can bike, walk or have a valet tour to observe their work. Competition of art on Sunday the 28th, sale of art, Artisan Market, food and live music.
Back to Calla. She will sing 2 or 3 of her original songs backed by BDG trio. She wrote ‘How’s Arizona’ and gave Albert and I the thumbs up to record the song on our latest album, ‘No STreeT SiGNs No StRAiGhT LiNes’. We changed the key and the feel of the song but it was all inspired by Calla’s original delivery. Important note: Kathryn has known Calla since the day she was born. Calla and Kathryn’s oldest son Reed grew up together from the early days of maternal leave to camping and graduations.
Grand Prix of art is free, family friendly event.
Blue Dirt Girl will have our merch table with limited edition CD’s: Crazy Beautiful (2016) Nothing is as it was EP (2021) and latest album (2023) plus QR codes to access streaming of all our music and mish mash of merch including: tattooed leather key chains and pendants, t shirts and mason jar tatto0ed leather holders.
