It’s their range that floors me. It’s rare to find a whole album that entertains. I can barely describe their music to a good friend. They are not to be pinned down by genre. Layered voice, exquisite harmonies that I can sing along to, relatable yet elegant lyrics pared down to the bone, and the biggest surprise of all, musical movements within most of their songs.
“Speculate” was the first one I latched onto because of its imagery and tone. “My Alice Moment” is truly a trip! “Crazy Beautiful” is the one that clings to me.
