Our final Blue Dirt Girl 10th Anniversary Fundraiser for Rain City Housing House Concert on 09.20.25 was a perfect end to our string of House Concerts.
We raised $600 for Rain City Housing. Our hosts Eric and Catharine welcomed everyone to their home with beautiful food, tea and wine in addition attendee’s brought wine to share. We had a full house of enthusiastic people waiting to hear music, poetry and enjoy lively conversations.
Sophie Yendole opened the evening, and second set, with a wonderful collection of poems with the theme of home. Here is a video of her one of her poems
Next up was Blue Dirt Girl with guest Dan Ponich. We played our upcoming albums singles along with a couple of favourites from our music catalogue.
The positive crowd reaction got Albert and I jazzed to go back to Park Sound Studio and record again with Dan Ponich. Once again Dan will be our recording engineer, co-producer and will add guitar/synth/keys tracks. We are also excited to work with new drummer Taylor Pawsey. After the break violinist Paul Macnaughton and Albert Klassen, on stand up bass, performed a 6 minute abridged version of Bach’s Chaconne in Dm. You could hear a pin drop as the guys performed this thrilling piece of music. Watch a video clip here.
The evening wrapped up with SIGHT CURVE’s set of new music. I think Josh’s new bio of the band describes our music best.
A collaboration written in the stars. Josh Klassen endured a year of cancer treatments & creating beats kept his spirits up. He sent his inspired beats to Kathryn and her fantastical lyrics poured out. Albert Klassen finished up each song with his intricate bass lines. Here is a video of our Sight Curve performance.

Fall Studio Recording:
In October/November Sight Curve will be in the final mixing phase on our premier album ‘The Cancer Dance’ To be released in early 2026.
Blue Dirt Girl starts recording our new album on November 15th. This album will also be released in early 2026.
