Anyone who knows Kathryn is very aware that she loves singing Christmas carols. So it was an easy yes when Kathryn’s friend & fellow artist Grace Oh asked her to play solo at Krampus Markt’s~ Objects of Desire Event  (2024) . Grace’s Oh Studio Projects curates the Krampus Markt each year with a myriad of top notch local artisans selling their work at host venue Strange Fellows Brewing in East Vancouver.

Kathryn has dusted off her collection of Christmas carols from years gone by singing at her boys grade school. Kathryn along with Deb and Oliver, all parents of Dickens students, would go early mornings to the school the week before Christmas Holiday break and sing carols with with students, teachers, parents and grandparents/caregivers. It was a joyous sing along of traditional Christmas carols and holiday songs from around the world.

“Instrumentation is on point on this track. Super cool.”

Thanks to fellow indie musicians Broselle + Naysh  for watching our ‘ WHERE WOULD I BE NOW‘ Youtube video and commenting.

This track shows off Blue Dirt Girl’s unique song structure with less vocals and more conversation between the bass and guitar.

‘SONG OF THE CRAWDAD’  is another album track with a similar song structure.

Her is a second positive comment for our ‘WHERE WOULD I BE NOW‘ video. “My son showed me this and I’m freaking blown away. I gotta show my brother.  And my husband and mom and shit. This is amazing.”
