It was time to head to Duncan for our 3rd show at The Duncan Garage Showroom. This show was also a Fundraiser for Patricia Dawn’s Stolen Hearts documentary film. Co-hosted by Patricia Dawn, Blue Dirt Girl and Longevity John. Stolen Hearts speaks to the continued unacceptable ‘care’ of First Nations children by colonist agencies. Patricia is also co-director of Red Willow Womyn’s Society on Vancouver Island, Canada.

Part of blue dirt girl’s philosophy is giving back with many shows to a non profit in the town or area we perform.  I met Patricia and once we started talking about her Doc Film Stolen Hearts, our life experiences and work with women I knew this was a project to support with my music.

Patricia Dawn reminded me of how change can happen in small ways with small connections.  I am also thankful for the beautiful handmade necklace, both she and I, received from her artist friend.

Here was a lovely note Patricia posted after the show ” I raise my hands to Kathryn Sutherland of the blue dirt girl Band, to @John William Falknerof the Duncan Showroom, and my son Travis Delisle Schuster.
All those who came out to join us. To Debbie Debra Toporowski, Graham Blackburn, Anne and Diane. And the many others whom I enjoyed speaking with.
The music was fantastic. Stolen Hearts Documentary Project moves ahead again- and our community of unity grows. I am blessed to know you all and walk alongside you. Huy ch qu’ / Thank you”
